Donald Kenyon, 80, died Thursday, October 25, 2012 at the Kindred Specialty Hospital in Stoughton after a period of failing health. He was the husband of 59 years of Catherine E. (Clemens) Kenyon of Canton. Born in Pawtucket, RI, he was raised and educated in Fall River and was a graduate of Durfee High School. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Kenyon was a resident of Canton since 1960. He worked for Shaws Supermarkets for over 25 years and retired as the Assistant Store Manager of the Stoughton Store. He also worked as a bartender for Furnace Brook Golf Course in Quincy for over 49 years and recently retired. In his free time, he enjoyed playing softball and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Donald J. Kenyon of Easton, Ronald W. Kenyon of Raynham, Robert T. Kenyon of Canton, Steven N. Kenyon and David S. Kenyon both of Norton and Laurie A. Moore of Stoughton. He was the brother of Robert Kenyon of NC, Rita Sloneker of MN and the late Norman, Thomas and James Kenyon. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Tuesday, October 30 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Monday from 5-8 PM. Interment will be private.
